Chapel of Santa Magdalena de l'Estela
The earliest known documentary reference in the area of the current estate.
Documented since 1285, restored in 2015 by Raquel and Oscar. Today it is rural accommodation, an events venue and a natural wine cellar in Els Hostalets de Pierola.
Can Robira is a 3.5-hectare estate (of the original 90) at 420 m above sea level, within the natural surroundings of the Parc Natural de la Muntanya de Montserrat. The farmhouse is lived in and worked by Raquel and Oscar, who have led its restoration since 2015.
The project combines four mutually supporting lines of activity: rural accommodation, private and corporate events, natural wine cellar and applied learning. All grounded in respect for the history of the place and the craft.
A short chronology to understand where we come from, without claiming to be exhaustive.
The earliest known documentary reference in the area of the current estate.
The farmhouse appears documented under its historical name in the fourteenth century.
A marriage that gave rise to the surname and, over time, to the name Can Rovira de l'Estela.
The house becomes established under the Rovira surname; centuries later the spelling with B would follow.
An oratory dedicated to the Nen Jesús is applied for, cementing the spiritual dimension of the place.
Raquel Soler and Oscar launch the current project: accommodation, events, natural wine and learning.
We keep the spelling with B for historical record reasons, in honour of a former owner of the estate and the historic label of the house wine. It is not a mistake: it is memory.
The estate is surrounded by natural and cultural heritage that forms part of the experience.
The best way to understand Can Robira is to visit. Book a stay or come and try the wine.
